I m staying with my family in Madison. My sister is planning to join UW milwaukee. she s planning to travel by bus to her university,. But i am not sure whether it is safe to do so. If you have any experience of traveling b/w these routes earlier, please let me know how safe it is(esp in evening times) Thanks in advance

On Friday morning, I have to be at the McCormick Place by 9am. I am wondering which route to take so I can be in the least amount of traffic and how much I should expect to pay for tolls on those routes. Unfortunately the train doesnt run at the times I need, nor does the Megabus and not sure I want to take the Metra....HELP!

I am looking for apartments in Milwaukee by UWM and my mom keeps telling my Riverwest is a very crime infested area, with lots of muggings and shootings? I always thought it was more the college kid area? Yes? No?

I've never been to Minnesota or Wisconsin and was looking at going this summer. I noticed Summerfest in Milwaukee sounded really cool but I can't find any info on it online. There is a Summerfest Grounds admission price of $33 (3 days, advance price). This will not let you into a show at Marcus amphitheater. However, if you buy a Marcus ticket does that get you into Summerfest or will I have to get an additional Summerfest entrance ticket? What does it get you? Are there things to do? The website mentions the kid things like a touch tank and Be a Rockstar screens and nightly fireworks but I'm an adult. Besides drinking, are there other stages with live music? Do you remember how far in advance they post the schedule? It's 4 months away and they don't have any of the bands on the website that will be there. Best Answer goes to the Person with the Most Info. Details appreciated. Let me know if this is some lame event like a "carnival" fundraiser that schools put on. I don't want to waste half my entire time in the state if it's that bad. As I said, I've never been there before. How can I like it or not like it when I've never been? The only info I have is from reading the tour books and from talking to people from the state--all who say you go to hunt/fish. But Summerfest sounded like a huge event that wouldn't suck. As for why I'm going, I want to hit 48 lower states in the next 2 years. I only have 5 left.
