I want to make a weekend out of the drive? can anyone tell me what else there is to do in the city? any fun places to visit, sites, scenary, landmarks, good restaurants etc?
Also, Can someone tell me what the best neighborhood to stay is and which areas to avoid?
Thanks
I'm from New Jersey, and I want to apply to a college out in the Midwest. I want the experience, and I want to meet people from different walks of life. I'm stuck between the University of Wisconsin at Green Bay and Milwaukee, and I can't pick. So in your opinion, which has the most to offer, is nicer, more people-friendly, etc? Green Bay or Milwaukee? Or, perhaps there's an even better city in the Midwest for a college student? haha. I just don't want to be around a lot of wealthy people (not that there's anything wrong with them) -- that's my one thing...
my friend is looking for a way to get from milwaukee to chicago, just wondering if anyone out there has taken the metra rail? was it a good experience? cheap? she needs to get downtown, and doesn't want to drive. open to any suggestions--thanks!
